I love going to Mule Days. People watching, fly fishing the Lower Owens River, drinking Hamm’s beer, checking out the Mule Day’s events, and of course, seeing the mules. What beautiful animals.
Events like these used to be more popular. America is changing.
Crowley Lake is just south of Mammoth Lakes, CA. We landed maybe 25 fish, including four Browns over 20 inches. Thanks to Doug Rodricks of Sierra Drifters. Get your day’s worth.
Beautiful Lone Pine, CA. Mount Whitney staging grounds.
Shot with Nikon FE and Fujifilm 400 color film. Fixed 50mm lens.
June Lake is spectacular. It has fantastic fly fishing. Incredible skiing and mountain biking. Access to the John Muir Trail. Access to high mountain lakes with Golden Trout. Old school bars. Old school restaurants. Down to earth people. Secluded. Peaceful. Quiet.
For nature was made not just for us, but for itself and its own happiness, and is the very smile of God.
A couple shots of my Land Cruiser. Getting ready to get after it - Early morning on the Upper Owens River, Mammoth Lakes, CA
